ACTRIS Sweden is dedicated to high quality observations of aerosols, clouds, short-lived trace gases and exploration of their interactions. It delivers precision data, services and procedures regarding the 4D variability of clouds, short lived atmospheric species, and the physical, optical, and chemical properties of aerosols to improve capacity, in understanding the past, current, and future evolution of the atmospheric environment. ACTRIS Sweden is the Swedish node of the European ACTRIS RI. The EU comission established ACTRIS ERIC on 25 April 2023. ACTRIS Sweden strictly co-located its measurement stations with existing ICOS stations: preparatory ACTRIS measurements have been ongoing since 2017 at HTM (LU), resp. 2016 at NOR (Stockholm University). ACTRIS measurements at Svartberget and Östergarnsholm will start during 2023.
